We decided to walk the cross in one of the most crime ridden intersections in Dallas. What will happen when people carry a giant cross into this kind of area?

Well, I cannot tell you how much excitement there was. So many people were waving and honking their horns. So many people came up to us to meet us. So many handshakes and fist bumps:) Hey, even a school bus driver stopped his bus right in front of us, opened his doors, and yelled out, “That’s what I am talking about!” It was like Jesus himself was walking through this neighborhood. No joke. It was crazy. We were constantly being stopped by people. It was unforgettable.

Of course we are all sinners, but Jesus loved being with people who were seen as “sinners” by society. That’s what He did. The “sinners” were always so drawn to Jesus because he loved them and accepted them. Same situation here. For hours, we just got to love on addicts, alcoholics, probably drug dealers, the poor, and many other people. Let us not forget that if we bring Jesus’ love, that the “sinners” will be drawn to Him. That’s biblical and still alive today! So let’s not fear taking Jesus to hurting places or dangerous areas. People are desperate to experience the Jesus that hung out with sinners.
